@iKaushikRai@himantabiswa@CMOfficeAssam Jorhat was/is always considered next important city after Guwahati.
We request you to kindly convert JMB to JMC and officially recognise Jorhat as the 2nd biggest city of Assam. Expansion of wards and city expansion is required at the earliest.
Jorhat is the gateway to U.A
@drm_tsk When will Hon’ble @drm_tsk visit Jorhat Town Station?
Jorhat is Assam’s 2nd largest city & a major educational, cultural, and commercial hub. We respectfully request that Jorhat Town Station receive the same attention and priority as Dibrugarh & Tinsukia stations.

@KishoreBJP Sir, Dib development is welcome. But Upper Assam’s historic prominence has always been led first by Jorhat & then by Dibrugarh. Declaring Dibrgh as a 2nd Capital should not reduce Jorhat’s importance. We respectfully request Municipal Corporation status for Jorhat @himantabiswa
Hon’ble Chief Minister Sir @himantabiswa, with due respect, I humbly request you to kindly consider Jorhat for Municipal Corporation status and grant it the same level of recognition and priority that has been extended to places like Dibrugarh and Silchar. @KamakhyaTasa 🙏
The Assam Budget sends a clear message: Dibrugarh town & Silchar get everything possible, while Jorhat often called the 2nd city of Assam is left waiting again! Regional development cannot happen if the same cities keep getting priority every year.
@himantabiswa@jayanta_malla 🙏
@drm_tsk Jorhat, Assam’s 2nd biggest city, the Knowledge Capital of Assam & gateway to Upper Assam, still has no mainline connectivity. Why must passengers travel to Mariani at midnight for long-distance trains? It’s time to extend the mainline to Jorhat Town Station. @himantabiswa
@drm_lmg_nfr Jorhat is Assam’s 2nd largest city, yet it has no originating long-distance trains. Why must passengers depend on Mariani while most major trains start from Dib or tsk? Jorhat Town deserves mainline connectivity to Delhi, Kol & other major cities @drm_tsk@himantabiswa
