SJOERDSMA LIEGT DAT HIJ BARST‼️

@ErnstLissauer heeft het als Parlementaire verslaggever helemaal juist.

Ik wil het graag aanvullen om het kennisniveau van journalisten op te krikken en ook om toe te lichten hoe het werkelijk zit. @ministerBHOS lees je even mee?

Sjoerdsma beweert dat alleen @UNRWA in staat is om humanitaire hulp in Gaza te leveren.
Dat is geen misverstand, dat is geen nuance dat is aantoonbaar onjuist.

En Sjoerdsma die jarenlang woordvoerder Buitenlandse Zaken is geweest, wéét dat‼️

Daarom is zijn uitspraak vooral bewuste misleiding om geld naar een organisatie te duwen waarvan inmiddels pijnlijk duidelijk is dat er structurele banden bestaan met Hamas-invloed, personeelsproblematiek en het gebruik van VN-faciliteiten voor militaire doeleinden‼️

Ondertussen doet Sjoedsma alsof het VN-hulpsysteem instort zodra UNRWA wordt weggenomen.

Dat is pertinent onjuist‼️

Wat zijn de feiten? Let op @ministerBHOS !

Binnen de VN zijn meerdere instanties volledig inzetbaar.
OCHA levert voedsel, water en noodpakketten via een breed partnernetwerk.

WHO ondersteunt ziekenhuizen, voorziet in medische goederen en begeleidt evacuaties.

Beide opereren onafhankelijk van UNRWA en kunnen opschalen wanneer een lidorganisatie uitvalt.

Neutralere hulpverleners werken al jaren zonder UNRWA‼️

ICRC voor gezondheidszorg, bescherming, communicatie tussen families.

Palestine Red Crescent Society blijft overigens gewoon opereren met internationale steun.

Deze partijen hebben bewezen dat zij volledig zelfstandig functioneren.

Internationale NGO’s leveren directe hulp binnen Gaza

Organisaties die wél agenoeg volledig onafhankelijk zijn, ondanks gebrek aan transparantie.

ZOA

Deze organisaties helpen al jaren kinderen, zieken en ontheemden, zonder het politieke gewicht, de afhankelijkheden en de veiligheidsproblemen die UNRWA omringen.

Er bestaan zelfs lokale en private netwerken die UNRWA deels vervangen.
Gaza Humanitarian Foundation en andere lokale distributienetwerken tonen aan dat voedsel en noodhulp prima door andere kanalen geleverd kunnen worden wanneer de politieke wil en logistieke toegang aanwezig zijn‼️

UNRWA is niet onmisbaar‼️

De claim van Sjoerdsma dat UNRWA ‘de enige’ kan zijn, is precies zijn frame dat nodig is om alsnog die miljoenen door te sluizen naar een organisatie met een zwaar beschadigde reputatie en een aantoonbare infiltratie-problematiek.

Zijn frame klopt niet, en het ondermijnt het publieke debat.

Als Sjoerdsma écht om humanitaire hulp gaf, dan zou hij openstaan voor herallocatie van geld naar organisaties die wél controleerbaar zijn,wél onafhankelijk zijn van Hamas-invloed, wél transparant zijn over personeel en middelen, en wél hulp leveren zonder politieke agenda.

De 19 miljoen kan véél beter besteed worden‼️

In plaats van blind 19 miljoen euro in UNRWA te blijven pompen, kan Nederland dat geld investeren in VN-partners die direct leveren (zoals OCHA en WHO), toewijzen aan neutrale hulpverleners (zoals ICRC) of inzetten op helemaal onafhankelijke NGO’s die bewezen effectief zijn‼️

Het effect is hetzelfde of zelfs beter en het risico op misbruik, infiltratie of politisering is dramatisch lager.

Dus nee, @ministerBHOS UNRWA is niet de enige organisatie die hulp kan leveren. Dat weet u zelf ook‼️ De enige reden om dat tóch te zeggen, is om een beschadigde organisatie overeind te houden. Maar slachtoffers in Gaza verdienen echte hulp‼️

Ze verdienen geen politieke spelletjes‼️

I said that the editor of Sky News responded to criticism from Iranians by saying that journalists attend this embassy event every year as part of normal journalistic work. But let me echo the voice of millions of Iranians: the Islamic Republic is not a normal regime.

While that party was taking place in London, the regime’s security forces were killing protesters in the streets, raiding hospitals, arresting doctors, and raping nurses for the crime of treating the wounded..

I also raised the #DigitalBlackout and called on the international community to help Iranians regain access to the internet.

Right now, many Iranians don’t even know if their loved ones are alive or dead.

Cutting off a nation from the internet during war, with no shelter, no sirens, and no warning systems, is not just repression. It is a crime against humanity.

London police violently suppressed the public after one anti–Islamic Republic protester raised Iran’s Lion and Sun flag.
Men and women, young and old, were beaten with batons. I myself, a journalist was struck repeatedly with a baton simply for documenting police violence.

Tonight, the Metropolitan Police treated Iranian protesters in a manner reminiscent of the IRGC. These were peaceful protesters whose sole demand was the closure of an embassy that has become a hub for the Islamic Republic’s activities on British soil.

This is shameful. The police deliberately provoked the crowd and then violently cracked down on them.

The Metropolitan Police have never treated Hamas supporters in this way not once.
This repression also brings to mind the way British citizens were suppressed when they protested outside the Prime Minister’s Office over the murder of three young girls in Southport.

And tonight, outside the Islamic Republic’s embassy, people were suppressed for one reason only: standing with the Iranian people, who are being massacred by the Islamic Republic’s terrorists.
