For a lot of ADHD'ers, burnout is a frequent unwelcome companion.
This is because being ADHD makes us more susceptible to burnout, and changes what burnout feels like, and what it takes to heal from it.
Let's talk about it. A thread (1/🧵)
@AndyWMarsden@paulsinha Absolutely mortified for a good while before reckoning I should investigate.
What does it say that I went to "Oh god, what have I done that PAUL SINHA has noticed and taken such profound offense to",
and not "Well that doesn't look right" 😅 #selfEsteemNeedsSomeWork

I feel very sorry for the people in the UK. You have no idea how expensive it's going to get for you when the NHS is finally gutted. I wish they would rise up and save it but too many believe the lie that they're government is revenue constrained.
@ImStuckWithADHD It's called "inbento". I find it especially good for me because I like but struggle with spatial puzzles and it has a really nice artsyle and sweet story that advances as you progress
I'm two months into #LongCovid and the way this disease has completely paused my life. I can't believe we're being told the pandemic is over.
Anyway, here are the main things I'm noticing that I did not know before getting it:
@ImStuckWithADHD It's also WAY more satisfying when I complete a puzzle having previously reached that brick wall. The incredible accomplishment of overcoming something that once seemed impossible and so intimidating!
@ImStuckWithADHD It's really difficult to do and most days I don't want to play, but if I do it and am stubbornly really lovely & patient with myself, I feel a lot better afterwards, even if I didn't advance in the game.
@AutisticCoach_ Literally going to a physiotherapist tomorrow for this precise thing! 😆 Not a thing I do compulsively, more like I can't walk without feet clicking or stretch without my entire back going CRLAKATARILKuk
