Dropshipping is not a business.
It’s a test.
A validation method.
A temporary starting point.
Anyone telling you otherwise is selling you a course.
Those $20K/day Shopify stores don't mention they're running ads from their parents' Facebook accounts after getting banned weekly…
That's a ticking time bomb.
If you're still dropshipping after your first $200k, you're building a house on quicksand.
Real businesses aren't built by stealing other people's ad creative and praying you don't get banned.
Every payment processor, every ad platform, and every network is getting smarter at detecting dropshippers who deliver garbage products 37 days later.
One ban and you’ll be buying scammy agency accounts for the rest of your life.
I know because I got banned selling headphones as a teenager, and it cost me millions when starting The Oodie years later.
If I was just starting in business, I would follow this track:
1 - Use dropshipping for 30-50 orders MAX
2 - Create unique content day one
3 - Move immediately to custom branding
4 - Find a 3PL in your top region
5 - Build systems for scale

90% of the time your product test didn’t fail…. you failed the product.
the biggest difference I see with high win rates vs low win rates when testing producs is…
creative volume
avg dropshipper launches product test with 1-2 videos with a few hook variations
negative ROAS within 24-48hrs then cuts
its nowhere near enough….
the more you give meta to work with, the more meta will reward you
how my last product test went:
- ripped content directly from tiktok (for speed) launched on meta, ran for 3 days
- unprofitable but validated some demand, gathered important data to action on (CVR improvements & creative data)
- then did additional avatar research, wrote ad scripts, launched my own “custom ripped ads” - 15+ ads
- continued to launch new ads in the campaign EVERY DAY & worked with the data…. doubled down on everything that worked whilst STILL testing completely NEW concepts. read this again, very important
fast forward and it now does multi 6 figure months & will hit 7 figure months this year
key learnings here are:
1. it’s normal to start off unprofitable
2. learn how to read and action data
3. 10x your creative volume when testing
This praying mat in my room is the reason for everything
