@KorbynPeebles@USAOWTC I’d like to think I’ve accumulated a diverse group of friends here in Oklahoma, however, most of those close to me fall under similar demographics. Then I thought of all the friends I’ve made online over the years, and wow, much more diverse than those I’ve made in Oklahoma.
@KorbynPeebles I don’t know if I’d agree with hierarchies of *power* per say, but definitely hierarchies of *values*, which can lead to some things being valued more the better they align with said values

@BlainPerry1@USAOWTC They didn’t worry themselves as much with the great questions of the human experience, like the Greeks did. They grounded themselves in day to day life through hard work, as farmers. There was a lot wrong with their society, but they at least seemed happy and content?
@emnicfee Agreed. I found myself caring more about how his paintings connected to and reflected his life, rather than whatever he actually wanted to say with his work
@USAOWTtres @USAOWTC He tried his best to obscure the connection between his life and art. I guess he succeeded to an extent, as these interpretations/investigations are acknowledgments of his life as a mystery. Mystery is so important to Mag, without the obscurity, he has to deal with past trauma.
