Today, we honor the courageous men and women who gave their lives in service to our Nation.
We will never forget their sacrifice, and we will continue to carry on their legacy, today and always.

Today’s Assassination Attempt is a Massive Failure on both the U.S. Secret Service and the Pennsylvania State Police, especially if there is Truth to the claims that several Attendees saw the Gunman several minutes before he started Shooting and attempted to Alert the Police.
On #DDay, 90% of the soldiers on the first boats didn't live to see the end of the day. Look at those faces. Some of them never made it to 18. Some never fell in love, or had the opportunity to have children. They never voted, or owned a home, they never saw parents again.
Think about that.
They paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
We will remember them. #lestweforget2024
Every year on the anniversary of #DDay, French citizens take sand from Omaha Beach and rub it onto the gravestones of fallen soldiers who gave their lives to liberate Europe.
It gives the letters a golden shine.
They do this for all 9,386 American soldiers buried there.

How to reward good work…
- Pats on the back
- Say “good job”
- Give an award
- Write them a letter
- Give them coins and pins
- Promote them early
- Give head-of-line privileges
- Publicly recognize them
- Give them a cookie
- Give them a second chance
- Listen to their concerns
- Do something about their concerns
- Let them try new ways of doing business
- Give them a duty-free day
- Give them a day or two off
- Provide new tools to do their work
- Invite them to lunch
- Explain the future
- Explain their future
- Treat them like equals… in fact, treat them like you could be working for THEM someday.
What else am I missing?
Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing?

They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow;
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow...
On Monday I will be the lesser third of an illustrious panel at Lincoln College @LincolnOutreach to discuss a question that echoes through all my public engagement work: "How does modern media shape our view of the past?"
