@YouGov You have asked the wrong question, which should be:
Should there be a bank holiday for the whole UK if @CountBinface wins the Clacton by-election?
You only get one chance to make a first impression. Badenoch has used hers to defend the Johnson pandemic parties and law-breaking. The Conservatives' fresh start has already curdled.
OH STOP BEING SO DANM STUPID!
If you want investment and growth, it’s not going to happen until you get rid of the Brexit ball and chain! So start by rejoining the Single Market.
Get on with it. You’re wasting valuable time!

Dear @GAILsBakery. On behalf of Planet Earth, Planet Sigma IX and the omniverse, this atrocity will not stand. £4.60 for an unsold pain au chocolat with a few nuts on top? Come on. Reduce your price to £1.10 immediately. Or get ready for a mass boycott. That's what I call PAIN!
The backer of GB News wants to take charge of the Daily Telegraph to expand his influence still further: please retweet if you would regard this as totally unacceptable.

Funny how Suella Braverman called the almost 100% peaceful protest events for the people of #Gaza ‘hate marches’ but she seems to have absolutely nothing to say about violent English Nazi terrorism, some of which she legitimised.
A complete disgrace to politics and her country.
Videos on social media claimed to show the aftermath of two protesters being “stabbed by Muslims in Stoke” over the weekend.
@StaffsPolice has confirmed this information is false and no stabbings were reported to police.

How dare you. You’ve spent the last 8 years weaponising immigration, dog-whistling to the far right, all while neglecting the working classes as your economic chaos makes them poorer and takes away their public services.
You did this.
Populists are right when they talk about how broken the system is
They have mastered the art of blame, and chosen to ignore the importance of accountability
This is how they narrowly got Brexit through; blaming migrants and the EU instead of holding the Conservative government and austerity to account
People leveraging hate, anger, frustrations, to further their own political careers, instead of addressing the actual issues, providing meaningful solutions to problems, they should feel shame, but they don't. They live within the confines of their ego exploiting anyone and anything for that taste of power and influence
Boris Johnson is the best example of this. He is as much to blame for stoking division in our country as Nigel Farage and others
The underlying cause of almost all of these frustrations is the 14 years where the Conservative party stripped away funding from our public services, and the years of underinvestment in our infrastructure
Just look at water privatisation. Billions have been borrowed. We should have a world class water system. But because billions have been paid in dividends, they didn't invest our water system and now every river is polluted, as are our seas. And still, water companies pay huge bonuses and dividends. Our country is being robbed
I'm all for private business and private enterprise, this is what helps any nation grow and thrive. But some things should always remain in public hands, such as water, energy, rail, mail, health - these are the basic foundations of any nation. They shouldn't be exploited for profit, they should provide a basic level of confidence and security across any country, a solid foundation, because when we have stability, we thrive
I would also venture to say that a lot of people don't really know why they are angry, they just are. They've been told to be angry as a way of protest, but all too often as we have seen in all of the far right protests, it descends into violence
The absolute and vast majority of people in our country do not behave in this way, there's a common calm and decency amongst most people and we have seen this in recent days where everyday people have stoop up and spoken out
I do believe our PM Keir Starmer understands this, it's one of the reasons why he didn't push for a RejoinEU program and focused instead on improving our relationships with the EU while outside the EU. I may not agree with the specific approach, but I can understand the wisdom behind it; and it certainly will not discourage me for keeping the call to #RejoinEU
But at the heart of all of this is the narrative that migrants do not contribute to our country, when of course, for example, without migrants the NHS would collapse even further than it already has
There's no quick fix to the frustrations that those who are descending into thuggish behaviour express, and there's also no quick fix for addressing those who are angry for the sake of being angry; and there's certainly not the mental health support capacity in our NHS to provide held to those who need it, that's what underfunding the NHS does, that's what outsourcing for profit NHS functions does
My only consolation at this time is that our current Prime Minister is a former director of public prosecutions. And while we have disagreements on policy issues, I feel considerably safer knowing that we have a sensible pragmatic leader at the head of our country at this difficult time
Be kind to one another. This is our country. These are our communities. They are our police officers and emergency workers. If an action of protest/violence alienates or targets our country, our communities, our police officers, that action cannot be for the good of our nation
Find a way to channel anger and frustrations into positive contributory paths forward. We don't drive our country forward by terrorising its people, looting and burning it down. As a nation we've got to do better than this
Mostly importantly, we shouldn't feed into the egos of populists, be it Johnson or Farage or anyone else, they relish in your struggle, instead of helping you overcome it. For our own souls and our own peace of mind, one step at a time, be better 🙏
Lovely afternoon at @RainhamHallNT where they have loads of fun @Olympics themed activities for kids. Also a new exhibition “#Rainham Voices: Women of Steel”.
@nationaltrust have done a fantastic job turning the hall into an interactive destination for local families.
@CountBinface Will you banish to the Phantom Zone people who press the button at crossings and then cross when there’s a gap in traffic so when traffic stops at red there’s no-one crossing the road?
This woman faced down the rioters in Southport last night with a clear message: their racism wasn't welcome. Let her bravery be what is remembered, rather than the shameful scenes of fools embarrassing themselves.
The Tories squandered money on Michelle Mone, Dido Harding, Hancock's drinking pal, ever increasing lords claiming expenses, and Rwanda. They made two unaffordable cuts to NI, hoping that would buy them votes. Now "it's all Labour's fault" when they have to clear up the mess.
