I suggest that anyone interested in @LordJohnMann’s history of benefiting from the gravy train go on the ‘They Work For You’ register of interests website. He has many years of accepting free trips all over the world to attend antisemitism conferences. The donations he’s personally received from Sir Trevor Chinn, his exploitation of the All Party Parliamentary Groups (APPG) racket for getting a raft of free travel, accommodation and hospitality at cultural and sporting events at home and abroad. Having for many years employed his wife as his Parliamentary assistant, she was able to accompany him on all those jollies although she was never referred to by name on the register. Mann is the ultimate grifter, a rabble-rouser and legendary weaponiser of antisemitism to smear his opponents. His ambushing of Ken Livingstone in 2016 was as unedifying as it gets. Rewarded of course for his years of ‘service’ with a lifetime seat in the Lords.
