There is something truly special about seeing a species return to a landscape where it once belonged. The reintroduction of a tigress at Buxa Tiger Reserve marks a new chapter in the conservation journey of this extraordinary ecosystem.

The event was graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal Shri @SuvenduWB Ji and Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Shri @byadavbjp Ji. I regret not attending due to other commitments.

For us in the Dooars and North Bengal, Buxa is much more than a forest, it is a part of our identity, our natural heritage and a legacy we must protect for future generations.
