It has been almost one month, and there has been no official response from your side. Usually, the provisional answer key is released within 10 days, and the result is declared within 25 days. However, this time, nearly 30 days have passed, and there is still no update regarding the answer key. No one knows when it will be released.

What should a student do in this situation?

Students are under tremendous stress and anxiety. We sincerely request you to do something. At the very least, please issue an official notice informing us about the expected timeline for the answer key and the result. Even a small update would help reduce the uncertainty and ease the stress among students.

Ancient Asafoetida (हिंग) trade

Asafoetida (Ferula asafoetida), or Hing, is native to Iran, Afghanistan, and Balochistan and was imported into India as early as the 1st millennium BCE. The Charaka Samhita refers to it as Hingu, highlighting its medicinal significance.

The trade of Hing followed both land and sea routes:
Overland - It entered India through Gujarat and Rajasthan, reaching the Deccan via well-established networks.
Maritime - Trade: It likely arrived via Makran and Sindh, supplying western ports like Sopara and Kalyan, which were linked to inland trade hubs.

Sopara and Kalyan were gateway ports, connected to the Deccan via Naneghat, a strategic mountain pass leading to Junnar and Paithan—two major commercial hubs under the Satavahanas (1st century BCE – 3rd century CE).

From Paithan and Junnar, Hing trade moved southward along two major routes: 1) Kolhapur Route – Connecting the Western Ghats and the coast to key Deccan trade centers. 2) Southeast Route – Extending to Andhra and the eastern coast, linking to major South Indian markets.

This extensive trade network made Hing a highly valued import in India’s medicinal and spice trade, linking the northwest, Deccan, and South India. Hing traders settled in these regions in large numbers, forming strong merchant communities.

With the onset of Islamic invasions, many traders, priests, and artisans from the north migrated south, settling in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Karnataka.

These communities carried not just their trade but also their sacred traditions, taking with them more than just Hing.

So now comes the familiar Congress script: create confusion, raise smoke, question motives, and wrap political insecurity in constitutional vocabulary. This opposition is not about women. It is about fear of losing political relevance.
