US & China are the players

Don’t fall for what Pakistani leaders say. That’s a smokescreen. Watch their actions very closely.

Imran Khan is viciously anti-American in speech. But he was the one who shut down CPEC, the flagship venture of the Belt and Road Initiative, thereby severely limiting Chinese influence in the region. Who benefitted? USA.

Gen Asim Munir wants to wipe out PTI and put Imran Khan in jail. Who benefits if Imran is in jail & CPEC is restarted? China.

China now wants to invest billions of dollars in a railway project which will be part of CPEC. Who stands in the way? Imran Khan.

China needs access to Afghanistan & Central Asia (aside Wakhan corridor) and security inside Afghanistan, and onwards to Iran. Who can provide this? Pak Army - Gen Asim Munir.

This is the new great game being played out in Pakistan, and Pakistan has no role in it.
