Introducing: Custom Expression in Flexprice

Until now, billing logic that required derived quantities like rounding call duration to the nearest second, weighting input and output tokens differently had to live in your backend.

You'd pre-compute the value before sending the event, which meant billing logic was scattered across application code instead of the billing layer where it belongs.

We wanted to fix that.

Custom Expression now lets you write a formula directly on any metered feature.

Flexprice evaluates it per event before aggregating:
- Multi-property billing: Combine fields into one billable quantity
- Per-event rounding: Round up per call before summing
- Unit conversion: Convert at billing time, not ingestion time
- Usage capping: Cap each event's contribution before it aggregates
