On Tuesday, Hedgehog Class had a trip to @HollowTreesFarm. They had a fantastic time. During their lovely sunny trip, they planted peas to make their 'own field' to take home. They enjoyed a ride on 'Casey the Tractor' and learnt about Combine Harvesters @HartestPrimary

Today we had the Grand Final of the KS1 arithmetic competition. @HartestPrimary competed against 17 other schools and finished 4th overall but that's not all … James finished in 3rd place! What an amazing achievement @HartestHedgehog, we are immensely proud of every one of you
Yesterday, Hedgehogs took part in a KS1 Arithmetic Tournament, competing against four other schools. The children demonstrated excellent perseverance and came second overall!!

Yesterday Hedgehog Class celebrated #WorldOceanDay2023. We watched a live assembly, practised our surfing skills and rescues marine animals from plastic and oil. The children learnt lots about how we can all look after our oceans 📷

Yesterday Hedgehog Class re-enacted the Easter story. They worked in small groups and chose a part of the story. Each child made their own cross as a reminder that Jesus died on the cross @HartestPrimary
In History, the children used non-fiction texts to research the jobs people had in a castle. They discussed with each other what they had found out and shared similarities and differences @HartestPrimary
Hedgehog Class have been making equal groups using counters and 10 frames. They used sentence stems to explain how the counters had been grouped and how many there are altogether @HartestPrimary
Hedgehog Class have made some willow crowns, thank you Sue for showing them how to weave them. They also said a prayer for Sharon the Shrew @HartestPrimary
We have been joined by the Tryosaurus, Thinkosaurus and Explorasaurus to help the children learn important learning skills. If your child comes home wearing a dinosaur sticker ask them which dinosaur they have been today!
What a wonderful morning we had at Longs Farm today. The children were excellent at matching leaves to their corresponding tree. A big thank you to Rodger, Sarah and Elizabeth.
Hedgehog class have been learning all about Farms and what food they provide. This afternoon they had great fun making a farm shop, selecting what food would be produced on the farm, and they even had a go at making their own butter!
