Today is #WorldOvarianCancerDay💜
Ovarian cancer symptoms can be easy to miss, but knowing them could be life-saving.
If symptoms are new (not normal for you), frequent (12+ times a month) or persistent - please contact your GP.

Taking your bra off at the end of the day feels great.
And so does getting your breast screening sorted. It can detect cancer before you can feel it. Or more likely, put your mind at rest.
So when you're invited, save the date. It could save your life👉https://t.co/UV70YbO2kI
@Harvey_NHS has kick started the day talking about why early diagnosis (ED) is important, why addressing health inequalities remains a core priority to improving ED, and the role of engaging with Primary Care and communities to understand the barriers and challenges to ED.
Left: Nadine Dorries says that child sexual abuse was never discussed the entire time she was serving in cabinet
Right: Boris Johnson criticised spending money on child sexual abuse inquiries, "£60 million spaffed up the wall"
The Conservatives spent 7 years and £200 million on a report and didn't implement the 20 recommendations in it. Now they're blaming Labour? Shame on them #PMQs
Short Heath had a wonderful turnout for their #RemembranceSunday service and parade. ❤️
The community gathered at the Short Heath Royal British Legion and marched together to the Short Heath War Memorial for a heartfelt service.

NHS staff across the country are, as always, playing their part in response to this week's riots.
But we shouldn’t let dedication to duty disguise the fact that seeing this flare-up of racism will leave many colleagues feeling afraid and unwelcome.

1. Acknowledge the situation and ask how they are feeling
2. Listen to their thoughts and feelings on the matter
3. Provide adjustments as necessary to support them
Do not attempt to downplay the magnitude of what is happening. I can assure you this will not be well received.
Having spoken to friends, it's a shame to hear such variation in peoples experiences of how managers/leaders have handled the events of the past week.
These are paradigm-shifting events for many of your staff and colleagues. Give them the time, attention & empathy they deserve.
After 3 years, it is with sadness that I leave the @NHSinBlkCountry - a wonderful organisation full of wonderful people.
But equally I am delighted to be starting my new role with the @NHS_WMCA tomorrow. It feels like the day before the first day at school! 🎒
A profession that I am so passionate about 💙Cancer CNS's are profoundly valuable to patient outcomes and the experiences our patients and their families receive. Happy #NationalCancerCNSDay to all my wonderful colleagues and friends 🌟
