At the beginning of this month, we stepped into the heart of the West Nile with sole purpose of understanding a kingdom on the verge of being launched.
Join us as we reflect on some of our lessons about the Reli people in Obongi District

The space is ready. The stories are waiting.
Tomorrow, we gather for the Art & Memory Café . A day of art, reflection, storytelling & connection exploring memory, ageing & brain health.
For now, we ask
What is one memory you never want to lose?
📍 Era92 Hub, Kampala
⏰ 10AM–5PM
As we reflect on the day’s celebration, we celebrate the women who raise generations, shape destinies and turn love into legacy.
Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers, daughters becoming mothers, and every woman nurturing hope in the world.
Before we ever found our voices, mothers carried our stories. They held our fears gently, watered our dreams quietly and loved us long before the world knew our names. Their strength is soft, their sacrifice sacred, and their impact eternal.
Happy Mothers day
We are collaborating on the Art & Memory Café in Kampala. This is with @kiggundu_art, together we will blend art, storytelling & brain health as part of the Global Brain Health Institute 10-year milestone.

At the start of this week, we participated in the launch of the @GirlChampAwards 2026 through a press briefing at the @UgandaMediaCent.
We believe that creativity and early literacy are powerful foundations for raising confident, innovative girl leaders.
As you celebrate this resurrection Sunday, may the miracle of Christ's death and resurrection bring you great joy and revival.
Happy Resurrection Sunday
A poem is born from a tightening in the throat, a feeling out of place, a vivid image, a quiet ache for home or for love, stirred by whatever spark moves the soul.
May your words always flow and your pen never fall silent.
To the women in our homes, offices and communities, we celebrate you. Keep the strength and resilience in making the world more equitable for all.
Happy women's day

Thank you to all who participated in the @UmojaWomensRun at @Makerere University.
We ran in support of #GBV shelters and the protection of survivors. Let us continue to advocate for sustainable support for shelters nationwide.

🤗🤗🤗the small small preparations paid off...
Yes the run happened today. I even learnt from other runners(walkers🫣) how to reverse walk on a hilly side.
As first time runners in a cause , @vivianholmes003 and 1 had a fulfilling time.
We’re proud to have organized the Umoja Women’s Run, aiming to support GBV shelters in Uganda hit by USAID fund cuts. 5+ shelters have collapsed last year, so funds raised will go directly to sustaining these vital spaces. Big thanks to partners for support us through this run.
Today I participated in the Umoja Women's Run.
A cause towards raising funds for Gender Based Violence Shelters.
The shelters are closing down due to lack of funding yet they exist to serve men and women victims of GBV.
You too can make a difference.
#EndGBV
This #ValentinesDay2026 we showed up at @Makerere Freedom Square. Not just as partners but as storytellers.
The inaugural Umoja Women's Run 2026 brought together Ugandans to confront a crisis that statistics often numb us to: with 1 in 3 women worldwide experiencing violence.
The closure of GBV shelters due to dwindling donor funding has become a matter of life and death. Behind every closed door is a survivor with nowhere to turn.
At Hatma, we believe that data moves the mind, but stories move the heart thus our storytelling plays a role here
