I am very happy to share that the Missouri Botanical Garden has received funding to digitize their entire herbarium! This work - made possible by an anonymous $14.4 million grant - will image and transcribe all 8 million specimens in the MO herbarium.

I’ve likened the clove genus, #Syzygium, to a “large monstrous 🥧” with these questions in mind: 1) which part to eat first, 2) how to make the first cut, and 3) how big are the cuts? So, one of the “slices” is now published 😊! #SBGScience @KewScience

Ecologically important & found growing in the #Rainforest understorey, #Besleria has been understudied...until now where phylogenetic analysis confirmed its monophyly status & inferred its biogeographical history! 👇
