BREAKING: “I WILL NEVER STOP!” Activist "JoJo from Jerz" reveals how Trump and Melania tried to SILENCE her with legal threats – and the single mother REFUSED to surrender!
Joanne Carducci, the firebrand progressive blogger known to more than a million followers as JoJo from Jerz, has revealed a months-long legal ordeal that she says left her crying every day, terrified of losing her home, and desperately trying to protect her two children.
Her account begins with threatening letters from attorneys representing Donald and Melania Trump, demanding that she retract statements, apologize, and pay money over things she'd posted online. According to Carducci, the demands eventually became entirely about Melania.
According to Carducci, the Trumps' attorney initially demanded that she retract statements she'd made online, including her claim that Trump incited the deadly January 6 insurrection. She was also ordered to issue a full apology, admit that she had knowingly lied, and agree to a financial payment, with just days to respond and the threat of punitive damages hanging over her.
And the price of refusing? Carducci says the lawyers eventually demanded a staggering $1 MILLION from a single mother who had once earned $16 an hour as a school paraprofessional.
“They would take my home,” she wrote in a deeply personal and powerful Substack essay.
Carducci says she kept the ordeal secret from her children, even as she struggled with the possibility that the house she'd worked so hard to provide for them could be taken away.
“She was swinging a fucking wrecking ball at a mosquito, and my children lived in the building,” Carducci wrote of Melania.
But Carducci refused to retract her criticism or issue an apology.
Former New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin stepped in to help her without charge, providing legal advice and support while she faced demands she says she could never have afforded to fight alone.
Eventually, according to Carducci, the letters stopped. She never apologized, never retracted her statements, and never agreed to the demands.
What finally persuaded her to tell the world was watching Melania Trump promote women's empowerment on television.
“She’s for women’s empowerment, and I’m a fucking natural blonde,” Carducci wrote.
The contrast is striking: a first lady publicly encouraging women to find their voices, while a woman who had used hers says she spent months fearing the consequences of refusing to be silent.
Carducci acknowledges that she's still frightened. She also insists that her work as a satirist, mocking powerful public figures, is an exercise of her right to free expression.
And after months of keeping the ordeal from even her own children, she has a message for the people she says tried to intimidate her:
“Because I am never, EVER going to stop.”

I am a Muslim, and it doesn't matter to me whether I am Sunni or Shia.
Watching our nations fighting one another is shameful to every muslim around the world!
In Yemen, Muslims are killed—and others drown while fleeing—as a result of bombardment by Muslim nations.
In Saudi Arabia, Muslims are killed and injured by bombardment from Muslim nations as well.
In Iran, Muslims are killed due to U.S. strikes from U.S. bases in Muslim nations.
In Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Gulf and beyond!
If I criticize your side, you assume I'm on theirs. If I criticize their side, they assume I'm on yours. You are both wrong. Some have lost sight of right and wrong.
Bombs and missiles are not the way to resolve conflicts. Diplomacy is the only way.
The Lebanese dream is direct flights? Not an end to Israeli occupation?
Israeli attacks have killed 4,400 civilians and wounded 12,407 since March 2, 2026.
260 children killed.
30 journalists killed.
348 healthcare workers killed.
The entire southern belt is currently occupied by Israeli forces. At least 230,000 civilian housing units have been partially or completely destroyed. Many towns have been razed to the ground. The systematic destruction of South Lebanon is ongoing as I type this.
The United States government is facilitating this by financing it. https://t.co/B1Ct6VWYoe
Every American president in the modern era has said the words "international law."
Has used them with gravity. With apparent sincerity.
Has built sentences around them that implied commitment, obligation, the shared architecture of a rules-based world.
The United States is not a member of the International Criminal Court.
It signed the Rome Statute in 2000.
It unsigned it in 2002.
It passed a law, the American Service-Members' Protection Act, authorizing the use of military force to free any American or allied personnel detained by the ICC.
Authorizing the use of military force.
To free people from the jurisdiction of an international court.
The legislation was nicknamed, by critics, "The Hague Invasion Act."
This is not a conspiracy theory.
This is a law.
On the books.
In the country that lectures the world about international law.
The country that calls other countries "rogue states" for refusing to comply with international norms.
The same country has a law specifically authorizing military action to prevent its citizens from being tried by an international court.
I am not asking for your outrage.
I am asking for your attention to the basic logical content of these two facts existing simultaneously.
That is all.
Your outrage, if it comes, will be your own.
Trump is trying to shift the blame onto Ukraine, which is profoundly unfair. The responsibility lies with his own war of aggression against Iran, every bit as illegal as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine (no more, no less). And this is precisely why, @ZelenskyyUa, your quite supportive position on the war against Iran was both morally inconsistent & strategically shortsighted: it was quite predictable that its consequences could run counter to Ukraine’s own national interests.
Hey America.
Canada has a diesel surplus. We export more than we use domestically. Most of it to the United States.
Trump bought you 12 days worth from Russia for double what Canada charges everyday to you.
Choke on that.
What is this all for? Why are taxpayers paying billions to hit commericals ships?
Apparently the goal is to gain leverage in order to convince the Iranians to let us pay them billions to return everything to the way it all was before the war.
What a disaster.
Trump in his rally speech tonight: "China makes the windmills, but try finding a wind farm in China. There is no such."
Here's a map of wind farms in China, which has by far the most wind capacity in the world and continues to install far more than any other country:
It cannot be overstated how much Trump essentially having to beg Putin for diesel illustrates just how dramatically he has accelerated the decline of US global hegemony.
Through his own—and, really, Washington’s broader—strategic hubris and the outsized influence of Israel on U.S. foreign policy, Trump has found himself forced to ease pressure on Russia, an ostensible great-power competitor that Washington had spent years trying to isolate and weaken, to offset the immense costs of his strategically disastrous war against Iran.
It’s honestly incredible no matter how you look at it. Iran, what was an ostensible middle power battered by years of US siege and economic warfare, has managed to impose strategically game-changing costs on the United States.
The situation has become such that US overreach is simultaneously managing to empower Russia—at a critical moment in the Ukraine War and for the Trans-Atlantic alliance—AND propelling Iran toward a level of geopolitical power and influence it could scarcely have achieved otherwise.
What’s unfolding before our eyes in real-time is a truly astonishing case of imperial overstretch and decline, one destined for the history books.
