There’ll be a new 18m flag in W204 & over 350 flags across the whole of T1 tonight.
Just a friendly reminder to leave the flags where you find them at the end of the game & not to take them home with you - these are NOT A GIFT 🤦♂️
If there’s a flag on your seat then get involved & use it, life’s too short to be miserable 😉🇾🇪
Reclaim The Stretford End – Update
🇾🇪TRA have now designed & funded over 350 flags as part of the RTSE campaign and prior to the Leeds game we announced that 180 of these would be introduced into Stretford End Tier 2.
🇾🇪The Club also contacted everyone in both T1 & T2 who had a ticket for the game on our behalf, explaining that our resources are stretched to the limit and we can't do this without the help of fellow Stretford Enders, resulting in approximately 25 responses.
🇾🇪Before kick-off approximately only 60 of the 180 flags were used and at full-time over 40 were taken out of the stadium, a handful of which were recovered by stewards at the exits or Reds outside the ground. We're happy to admit some responsibility for this as we could have been clearer that the flags were not gifts to be taken home but are paid for by the fans and should therefore remain in The Stretford End for use at every game. Lesson learned.
🇾🇪Taking all of this into account, we’ve decided to remove all remaining flags from T2 and concentrate our efforts on T1 for the remainder of the season. Until we have a team of volunteers in place in both tiers that’s capable of managing such a large number of flags.
🇾🇪For the Brentford game therefore, we’ll have all flags (over 350) in T1, including the remaining waver flags and the new 18m flag that were originally intended for T2.
🇾🇪We’re working hard to ensure that T2 will again be fully involved in time for the start of the new season but this will only be possible with the help of a suitable number of volunteers up there so please keep an eye out for future communications regarding this. If you’d like to help out in T1 for Brentford and can get to Old Trafford the day before the game, you can send your details (name, membership) to [email protected] and we’ll be in touch nearer the game.
🇾🇪Cheers🇾🇪
We were asked to extend the @RTStretford_End campaign to T2 and put more flags in. We did, @ManUtd emailed and told people what to do and not take flags home, yet we recovered at least 9 from people thinking they could. Stealing from your own. Not on.

Yesterday, the #PremierLeague were due to confirm the fixtures for MW37 (17th of May), but has now decided to delay that announcement until after the FA Cup semi-finals.
That leaves supporters with less than three weeks’ notice for any changes, with fixtures still likely to be moved to Friday or Monday nights. There are no Saturday games scheduled due to the FA Cup Final.
Given only three Premier League clubs are involved in the semi-finals — and at most two in the final — it’s not exactly an unsolvable problem. If necessary, just avoid selecting those remaining three clubs for broadcast and schedule the rest.
Instead, it’s another example of decisions being made with little regard for match-going supporters.
One of the few positives of the season so far has been the overwhelmingly positive feedback about the impact of the flags we've brought into The Stretford End.
Our attitude has always been that we're Man Utd, if we're going to do this then we do it bigger, better and with more originality than anyone else. That means not just flags Stretford End Right Side, but throughout the entire Stretford End
