@RECK0NlNG@steamedhamms It's not our economic "situation" that makes this impossible, it's the political choices successive governments have made regarding the economy.
@LeninLenout@ThomasWarerson@CrimeLdn So we've discovered the real issue, you can't read. You keep mentioning drug dealers, who would still remain criminals under drug decriminalization policy. You don't understand and you aren't willing to learn, so this is pointless.
@LeninLenout@ThomasWarerson@CrimeLdn You continue to prove that you don't understand decriminalization. The whole point is that dealers are still committing a crime, it's people possessing recreational amounts that are no longer criminalized.
@BristolGalt Why would you want to pay off the national debt? What happens to all the institutions that use it to save? Foreign govts need a secure place to hold sterling, insurance companies and pension funds need secure long term investments. Where do they go?
@LeninLenout@ThomasWarerson@CrimeLdn You mean the pilot in BC? I can find no evidence there was any marked effect on deaths after decriminalization so I'd love to see your data on that if you have it. In countries where they actually have a serious policy like Portugal, it reduces deaths.
@btharris93 I think you're on to something. I'm an English football fan, and I've always thought Wrigley Field has a similar vibe to a lot of urban footy grounds.
@Galaxy123124@adje__ Because what happens when you give rapists the death penalty is they just kill their victims so nobody ever finds out, and when you give pedos the death penalty their family don't report them because they don't want daddy to be killed.
