Anthropic says Claude Mythos 5 tried to trick real developers into accepting malware during a UK AISI cyber test. tl;dr :
-Crossed the test’s boundaries in 9 of 43 runs.
-After failing inside the test network, targeted an unrelated GitHub project.
- Created fake identities to endorse its malicious code and pressure maintainers into accepting it.
- Treated maintainers as “simulated” people, while recognizing other commenters as real.
- Once the attack was underway, continued in 98% of replayed trajectories. Anthropic calls this "momentum" previous actions and self-written notes appeared to reinforce the harmful strategy.
Separate runs sabotaged each other by hijacking accounts, exhausting request limits and deleting another agent’s output.
Newer models were less likely to begin the attack.
Luckily NVIDIA released OpenShell. Seriously.
Ready for your dose of (POSITIVE) @Hedera energy? ⚡
We've got you covered!
This week's show is packed. You'll wonder how we squeezed it all into just 40ish minutes. 👀
Let's get into it! $HBAR
In August, @AISecurityInst reported an incident where Claude Mythos 5 took unauthorized actions on the internet during AISI’s testing of its cyber capabilities.
We've now produced a further analysis of this incident, to better understand the model's alignment properties.

Ron Baron has been investing for 56 years. He just said he has never seen a company like SpaceX. Not one.
He made his clients 15 billion dollars on it. He gave up 3 billion of his own profit to keep his shares. His frame: I do not want Elon to think about us as someone he gave stock to who sold the first chance they got.
The numbers Baron threw out are the ones nobody is modeling.
SpaceX sold capacity to Anthropic at $1.25 billion a month for 18 months straight. $15 billion a year. Then Google came in asking for compute. Elon said here is what I have left. $900 million a month.
That is 25 billion a year on just the compute slice.
And then: "The economy doubles every 10 years. Elon thinks instead of doubling we're about to grow 10 times every 10 years."
56 years. Never seen one like this.

🏛️ CFTC: Hedera Chief Policy Officer Nilmini Rubin will join the CFTC Innovation Task Force’s inaugural Frontier Forum on October 28.
The forum brings together government and industry representatives, including Hedera and Tempo, to examine autonomous AI trading, financial market infrastructure and the future of U.S. financial markets.
Agentic AI is transforming how markets move. Next week, the @CFTC convenes to figure out the rules.
Hedera’s @nilminirubin will help shape the conversation.

The source was a RedSwan post I thought was new because I mistakenly only saw October 16th, and thought it from a few days ago. I realized this morning it was actually from Ictober 16th 2025.
I left it the post up so I could reply with the correction. I also put it in the video description and will make a statement in tomorrow’s Shark Bites and my weekly update.
I take full responsibility for misrepresenting. My apologies.
This latest Shark Bites with @Rob_Nodl is not one to miss!🦈
Rob drives home what's happening in the @Hedera space while answering the latest community questions.
I also make an important correction.
Jensen closed his GTC Berlin 2026 keynote with this Hermes Agent demo as the finale.
He introduced it by saying the way to build an agent is to ask an agent to build it for you, so he installed and set up a customized Hermes in one prompt.
Then he used Hermes, running on @nvidia RTX Spark, to create a simulated training environment for the @huggingface Microduck. Hermes planned an obstacle course with Nemotron and had GPT-6 Astra build it using FreeCAD, Omniverse libraries, Blender, Newton, and Isaac Lab. Hermes trained thousands of simulated ducks on that course until the validated policy was ready to run on the real robot in the physical world.
At Nous, we believe open source is a practical tool as much as a philosophical ideal. It gives users the ability to build powerful, complex workflows chaining numerous local+cloud models, devices, and tools themselves instead of waiting for a company to enable them.
listen guys, i regularly criticize Hedera and the organizations (and very fairly i think)
i advocate for more power in the hands of builders and transparency for holders
i take a lot of heat
but WHY would you whine and split hairs over the @HederaCommunity account?
there are wins happening, it’s good to see positive change, however small, and repurposing the HBARF account to focus more on the $HBAR community is a win
but seeing the community fight each other for scraps is the WRONG thing (i see chuds wanting hbar bull and i to “debate”, he’s a fellow HBARbarian, not gonna happen)
when this community is dealing with more crap than ever, the last thing we need to do is snipe at each other
listen, i am all for applying public pressure on leadership and holding folks accountable for privatizing gains and socializing losses of the ecosystem
but when we see some good motion in the ecosystem (like the new community x account), what is the point of constantly nitpicking and pitchforking?
there is barely enough to go around as it is, can we not focus on the real problems? can we not just let things be if they aren’t causing damage?
the network is hemorrhaging value and we’re out here whining about a community account on twitter?
we have some big fish to fry here guys, we can’t do so much nitpicking at each other! i get it, it is really hard here trust me
but any HBAR builder/holder has more in common with each other and the community x account than any of the out of touch suits in leadership
just my 2 hbars
I’m proud to share that @Hedera has joined @Aptos, @AvaLabs, @Cardano@Chainlink, and @StellarOrg on a joint call for the SEC to formalize its digital commodity framework.
Regulatory clarity = durability, and it helps the U.S. remain a leader in digital asset innovation.
Institutional tokenized collateral is moving beyond siloed use cases, but how will the market avoid fragmentation?
It was great to speak to @Genfinity about how Ownera is connecting tokenized markets to enable seamless trading at scale, including work in the U.S. Industry Sandbox.
As markets continue to grow, no single blockchain will dominate. Ownera is leading the charge with its multi-chain infrastructure, which enables digital asset trading across ledgers, blockchains and cash flows.
The future of financial markets will be multi-chain. Ownera’s abstraction layer provides the connectivity needed to help institutions unlock liquidity and adapt to these changes.

NVIDIA and ServiceNow are taking AI agent governance below the software layer.
At @nvidia GTC,we’re showing how policy set in the Super Intelligence Control Tower is designed to be enforced by NVIDIA OpenShell at runtime and NVIDIA BlueField DPUs in silicon. Governance is set once, and both layers honor it.
ServiceNow Arc, the personal AI agent now generally available, runs everyday tasks on local models, helping lower inference costs and keep more data on the device. It’s the first personal agent built for everyday work that IT can govern this way.

@Cointelegraph Hedera leadership is eager to keep working with the SEC on this. We hope the final rule reflects a clear, codified definition of digital commodity.
