@kadamssl I’m at a small private institution in Virginia. While
My uni does nothing, as a faculty administrator I would be happy to be an advocate for and on behalf of anyone else who is aware/informed. I see a few students masking on occasion, but nothing consistent.
11 months later, finally a Reject on my latest paper on #Covid and #LongCovid. Hard not to suspect bias with comments like:
"...the possibility of a mass hysteria phenomenon, is still a plausible explanation"
"...by 2024, both COVID and long COVID seem a long way behind us"
🙄

And another one…
(Cue the replies saying “this happens every Olympics! or It’s a cold! or Healthy athletes don’t need to worry about covid!)
Ventilation, testing, and recommending + making available N95s for high risk areas could’ve helped. #Olympics is failing these athletes.
@iamrodneysmith Don’t hesitate to use the resources available and get involved early in extracurriculars . Professors are your best and most understand-utilized resource, and many love to get to know students outside of class, so attend office hours and form relationships with your faculty. ❤️
