@Fx1Jonny Hypothetically speaking...if you were approached by these clowns and they asked you to do something (hands behind your back, get out of the car etc), can I assume you can just tell them to F off?
@lockyyuru@narindertweets
You made the attached tweets more than a decade ago. I appreciate time makes a person wiser.
Do you stand by your original tweet?
@the1trueprophet@SangitaMyska@ZackPolanski Maybe that's because no Muslims, Sikhs or Christians decided to go on a jolly to commit genocide.
The question you need to be asking is:
- did they go cos they're Jewish
- or cos they are cunts.
5Pillars editor @RmSalihโs decision to publish a practical guide for Muslims navigating Pride Month was exactly that: guidance for Muslims, by Muslims. There was no incitement to violence, abuse, mistreatment or injustice towards the LGBTQ community.
The reality is simple: from nurseries and schools to universities and workplaces, many British Muslims feel under pressure to participate in, affirm or celebrate Pride Month despite holding normative Islamic beliefs that are clearly opposed to LGBTQ ideology.
Across every school of thought, jurisprudential tradition, creed and sect, the Islamic position on this matter is not seriously disputed.
As for Mayor Sadiq Khan, if a Muslim public figure who frequently speaks about Islam and his Muslim identity publicly returns from Hajj, one of the greatest acts of worship in Islam, and within days promotes LGBTQ lifestyles and alcohol, Muslims have every right to criticise him and make clear that he does not represent Islam.
And to those Muslims attacking Roshan, 5Pillars and others for publicly upholding the Islamic position on LGBTQ issues: speak for yourself, not for Islam. If you want to speak for Islam, bring your evidence from Islamic source texts.
And as for those self-described โChristian patriotsโ suddenly outraged by Muslims holding traditional religious views on same-sex relationships: if you genuinely believe Christianity is true (I donโt believe many do), you should have no difficulty understanding why Muslims hold theological convictions that conflict with Pride ideology. Your outrage is performative and unserious.
P.S. You are still a Muslim if you experience same-sex attraction. You sin by acting upon those desires, and you are rewarded for repenting and refraining.
P.P.S. You *may* no longer be a Muslim if you believe same-sex relationships are permissible and free of sin after the scriptural evidence for their prohibition has been conveyed to you and established upon you.
