Glad to be back out with others, but the emphasis of making sure there was space for faster runners made it feel more like an unsafe competition not the inclusive community event that I know.
Went to @portyparkrun today it’s a lovely run but I didn’t enjoy it. Parkrun aims to be a positive, welcoming and inclusive experience, but I didn’t think it was positive or inclusive today. If this was my first time going to park run I wouldn’t go back.
Safety was also an issue, repeatedly told to move for the faster runners but not encouraged to think about distancing. My partner narrowly avoided spit from a faster runner as he pushed forward and passed closely.
@humbletoft2001 Thanks Janet- it was great to work with ye as well. Can't believe its 11 year ago! I'm away to start a post as a psychological therapist, so a wee bit different. Hope alls good with you, I've been hearing about all the amazing risk enablement work that's been happening☺️
Layers and tea are key in teacher’s five-night sleep out in memory of her sister- well done Edel, Bridgetta would have loved this. https://t.co/9WFlEP4HSp
On #WorldAlzheimersDay conversations about people with dementia especially those living in carehomes whos quality of life is being affected due to current visiting restrictions should be had. Just like my nana, there 1st lockdown has never ended! @alzscot@JohnCampaign@HSCPshire
