Physios provide walking aids to help you stay independent.some people hate the idea of a walking stick,& instead "take an arm".This can reduce independence&increase risk of injury to both people if a fall occurs.a stick & exs can help.if in doubt, get assessed. #withPHYSIOyouCAN
A swallowing assessment can identify modifications to food & drink to make mealtimes easier & safer. Little extra things like ensuring good position or looking at what else is going on at mealtimes can also make a big difference. #WithSLTuCan
Q4. I am scared I, or the person I care for may fall or get lost if they go outside alone. How can I prevent this?
A. You can't, but sometimes we must support people to take positive risks to maintain quality of life. The risk enablement toolkit may help.

If you have a friend who is struggling, or has been a bit quiet for a while, check in with them this weekend. Ask 'are you okay?' and ask more than once if you need to. It's a tough time for people right now, and we all need to be there for one another.
