As long as ghostwriting was a privilege only afforded the rich and famous, it was tolerated as SOP. But as soon as this capability is democratized by the #LLM and made widely available to anyone with an internet connection, it becomes inauthentic SLOP.

It's hoping that correlation overwhelms causation by shear number of correlations it can generate.

The crux is that if their GPA relies on a grade from a test the teacher sets on the work they've done over a short time period what need have they for getting stuff into their long-term memory?
