@cooljool80 Lol! You call them ableist, then when they point out pushing car dependence is ableist you move to, "What's so hard to accept that some of us just don't like cycling."
Your argument gets weaker as you move that goalpost.
The entire right-wing outrage media machine is designed to take people’s anger about how our capitalistic society has decimated the working class, and places blame at the feet of marginalized communities to steer outrage away from the ultra-wealthy.
That’s why they’re “mad” at Barbie, The Little Mermaid & Bud Light while billionaires get richer and richer.
Here's where Naadhun Dolma, 7, was killed by an SUV that didn't see her, less than a day later. Still a car parked passed the stop line, blocking the line of sight. Still an unfinished crosswalk, because this is so common.
Her death wasn't an accident; it's a product of design.
A friend recently had a branch fall out of a tree and split their head open while cycling on a neighborhood slow street, "and that's why you should always wear a helmet." When ask if pedestrians who are also exposed to such dangers should wear one as well I was called an asshole.
When your 7yo is on his own bike so you choose the most protected route but @amazon has repurposed it as their delivery staging area

Greta Thunberg taking down Andrew Tate was almost as good as Andrew Tate taking himself down in that pathetic clapback attempt...which apparently revealed he was in the country, leading to his arrest by Romanian authorities for human trafficking. What a story.
Andrew Tate being so triggered by Greta Thunberg, after he initially taunted her, that he gave away his location and was arrested for human trafficking is exactly the downfall he deserves and exposes his whole violent misogynistic grift for what it really is.
@mhs21981@ChesterCycling I was squeezed past like this while my son was on a tagalong behind me. The driver saw him, they didn't care. Their feeling of inconvenience trumped our safety.
The worst part, it was another parent taking their kid to the same school we were heading to. There were words.
@DeTahmineh@tuckcomatus People advocating that we build in a way that doesn't create car dependence doesn't take away your choice to drive, it gives people the freedom not to.
