.@PoliceUg has facilitated the abduction of @AloikinOpoloje this evening. The Namungoona police station called her to resolve an issue relating to her carpet that she picked from a carpet cleaner earlier today. The cleaner had called her claiming she took the wrong carpet cleaner it Aloikin knew the carpet she took was hers. But she nevertheless went to the police station as a law abiding citizen. On reaching there she was told CMI is looking for her for insulting the CDF and that they will take her and “discipline her”. The police could have charged her with whatever crime they claim she committed and detained her but they had lured her to be abducted by the military!!

UPDATE: Supreme Court Justices Prof Lillian Ekirikubinza, Christopher Madrama and Mike Chibita are presiding over an inter-university moot court final organised by the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) and the International Development Law Organization (IDLO). 16 universities participated using coded names, with Uganda Christian University (UCU) and the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) advancing to the final. The EOC says the moot court not only gives students practical courtroom experience but also serves as a sensitisation platform on discrimination and marginalisation, highlighting available remedies for victims.
