Thanks for your critique, Janet. We actually tried a couple of episodes where House (Hugh Laurie) (please put the brackets in the right place) gets it right first time, but they were only 6 minutes long. NBC weren’t happy. Then we tried some where House never gets it right and the patient dies. The audience wasn’t happy.
One could apply your trenchant analysis to other art forms: JS Bach wrote 30 Goldberg variations on the same chord structure; Frida Kahlo painted 50 portraits of herself; Henry Moore, what??
The point is, or was, variations on a theme; if all you see is hospital, medical blah blah, then it wasn’t meant for you.
Nonetheless, I look forward to your first novel!
“Senior officers in the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) may be doing too little to advance military development and war preparation.” Another brilliant analysis from @KTristanTang https://t.co/rSr8ZYZult
This is a devastating interview.
Scott Pelley tells the NYT that Bari Weiss directly put a “thumb on the scale” for Trump over the killing of Renee Good.
Here’s his explanation of exactly what happened.

@FairfaxCountyPD Do not share any footage with these people. Do yourself a favor and look up what’s happening with the Flock cameras.
They will use this to spy on you and your neighbors

The Senior Advisor to the U.S. Under Secretary of Defence for Personnel & Readiness weighs in to explain why his colleague’s racial slurs are not a problem. It’s certainly a very liberating moment for people who are glad they can finally say what they think about brown people.
A serving US Army officer, working in Hegseth’s office, posting racial slurs & describing journalists as “civilisation destroyers”. Doing all of it anonymously. A good indication of the ethos of the Pentagon in this moment.
@ChrisO_wiki@shashj@infantrydort Haha, nice honeypot, Chris. Swept up a lot of individuals with "interesting views on things", which got triggered (rightfully so😈)
One good thing about going to a war college (or studying history anywhere) is that you learn not to confuse historical analogies and end up making weird comparisons like this just to suck up to your boss.
One of the problems with modern "new media" (esp. social media) is that there are almost no consequences for getting things wrong, even repeatedly. The headlines on Friday were embarrassingly certain of an imminent deal; but this time it was legacy media joining in.
