The biggest landlord in the US is being accused of civil rights violations.

Greystar, the largest owner of apartments in the US, systematically breaks local laws designed to make housing affordable to the poor, according to civil rights complaints filed in six states and DC.

The complaints allege that the company refuses to accept Section 8 vouchers in places that require landlords to accept them.

Kevin O'Leary and Fox News are being sued over claims that critics of the millionaire's massive Utah data center have ties to China.

After O'Leary made multiple media appearances defending his project and attacking critics, two activists are taking him to court, alleging that he falsely accused them of being foreign operatives backed by the Chinese Communist Party.

The complaint identifies at least 10 media appearances between May 11 and June 3 where O'Leary repeated the accusations.

BREAKING: Zohran Mamdani and his administration are taking new actions to crack down on landlords and help tenants.

The NYC mayor just announced steps including:

-Requiring landlords to disclose when listing have been altered by AI
-Legal recognition of tenant unions to expand tenants’ ability to organize
-Stronger enforcement against negligent landlords whose building have conditions like mold and pests

These steps come out of the Rental Ripoff hearings held in the five boroughs where the mayor's office heard from thousands of tenants. Today's announcement is entitled the Rental Ripoff Report, and it contains a total of 23 policy action the Mamdani administration will now pursue based on what they heard from tenants.
