🚨 Studies show: YOU DON'T NEED SUNSCREEN to prevent sun damage.
To the extent your sunscreen is "working" —it's blocking 100% of vitamin D production.
But the sun Does cause a lot of DNA damage & oxidative stress in skin...leading to collagen loss, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles...
IF you don't protect yourself in other ways, such as:
1. Topical ANTIOXIDANTS (a must! watch the video to the end...)
2. Supplements: polypodium leucotomos (tropical fern), astaxanthin, tomato paste as daily supplements have been shown to prevent sunburn as well.
3. Always get MORNING SUN on bare skin/eyes (at least a few mins) to cue/prepare body for upcoming UV stress.
4. Do not burn. If you're really pale, limit sun exposure to a reasonable amount. We don't need multiple hrs of sun per day to get adequate vitamin D & other sun benefits.
Reposting this vid since no one saw it yesterday.
I want people to know this!
Sunscreen-free sun exposure daily is CRUCIAL FOR HEALTH. A pill or light machine cannot possibly replace the sun.
Dear @WhiteHouse, my name is Rodney Smith Jr., founder of Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service in Huntsville, Alabama. Through our 50 Yard Challenge, over 6,000 kids across the country have signed up to mow free lawns for the elderly, disabled, veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and single parents. With America celebrating its 250th birthday this year and me also being born on July 4th, I wanted to humbly ask if a few kids from our program and myself could travel to Washington, D.C. to help mow the White House lawn for this historic celebration.
More than anything, I want these kids to see how a simple act of service something as ordinary as mowing a lawn for someone in need can lead to extraordinary places. What better lesson in community service than showing them that helping others can take them all the way to our nation’s capital? I’d also love to bring my American flag-themed mower in hopes that the President might sign it, so I can later auction it off and donate 100% of the proceeds to a nonprofit supporting veterans. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to highlight the importance of service, patriotism, and the impact young people can have when they choose to make a difference. 🇺🇸
@DC_OCA@DCDPW Here was an illegally parked car around the corner from me that had about $5k in unpaid parking tickets. I kept reporting it to @DCDPW . I kept reporting it over and over again and all DPW did was come and write it more tickets. THE worst city agency ever.
Look, this guy cannot be allowed to be a congressman.
We really have to draw the line at material support for terrorism.
The fact that someone who actively worked in support of the Al Qaeda mastermind behind the 1993 WTC bombing as well as Hamas could just sail to victory in a Democrat primary is a massive problem in itself, but we cannot allow him to get any further.
This isn’t about a difference of opinion or expression or any normal political fight, this is an actual terrorist.
Something very serious is going to have to be done, and soon.
In 2015, Baltimore elected Marilyn Mosby as its state's attorney. Mosby was a "progressive prosecutor," who proved her bona fides by trying to prosecute the cops involved in Freddy Gray's death. She eventually declared that she would not prosecute drug possession at all. She also had legal problems of her own—multiple federal investigations alleging fraud and perjury.
Unhappy about all this, Baltimore voters replaced her with Ivan Bates in 2022. Bates ran as a tough-on-crime prosecutor, promising to focus on the violent offenders who make Baltimore dangerous. He's followed through: his office claims that of 6,000 violent, repeat offenders they identified, they've locked up 3,000 to 3,500 of them.
Bates took office when Baltimore murder rates were at sky highs. Today, they've plummeted. Is he the reason why? Read my @TheFP piece on murder in Baltimore to learn more.

ICE has arrested 26-year-old Jose Antonio Valdivieso-Menjivar of El Salvador. Convicted of voluntary manslaughter in 2020 and sentenced to 11 years in prison, Valdivieso is in ICE custody pending removal. He first crossed the border in 2004 near San Diego and was a DACA recipient
He’s going to wreck California elections in Nov with new USPS regulations.
No one forces California to use the USPS, and he can order how USPS operates with regard to election mail.
This will be the biggest litigation issue over the next 12-16 months.
Last week, the state of New Jersey’s health inspectors went to Delaney Hall and didn’t find one SINGLE violation.
Compare this to the “DEPLORABLE” conditions of the New Jersey state prison system.
