This week, Year 3 have had a great time making junk model Paddington Bears! We used lots of different recycled materials to create our bears – not forgetting his marmalade and his suitcase!
We had a lovely time celebrating National Poetry Day yesterday. The children loved performing their class poems, listening to poetry in class and reading these post-it poems that cropped up around the school!
Today, Year 6 had a visit from @MichellePaver - author of our class read - Wolf Brother! She told us all about her series - Chronicles of Darkness - and her new novel Skin Taker. We loved hearing about her adventures with Inuit communities and interactions with real wolves.
Lots of laughter 😂 when @sirlinkalot visited us last week! He introduced us to his fantastic world of animations using clever links 🔗to help children learn those oh so tricky words such as bicycle 🚴♀️! Ask your child what the link to spell ‘two’💩is &check it out on the app!
📚Thanks to the amazing generosity of @Lonbookproject every child from Nursery to Year 6 has enjoyed our ‘book up book fair’ and chosen a book to take home for keeps. So much excitement & so many fabulous books on offer. 🥳

To help recreate the WWI Christmas truce, Year 6 built their own trenches and acted out the conversation between enemy soldiers. Each soldier comes with a thought bubble, explaining their innermost thoughts and fears.
