What does lava look like after it has cooled underwater? Well, it looks like this.

Seen at Vailulu'u Seamount in 2017 (#TBT), these pillow lavas are likely <5 years old, so pretty young (geologically speaking). Lava erupted & instantly cooled, creating a snapshot in time. 🌋
