In partnership with @Carhartt and Ford Philanthropy, we’re very excited to welcome Detroit ToolBank to Downtown Detroit! This facility has a massive inventory of tools and equipment ready to be lent out to local organizations, nonprofits, schools, and community groups who need them.

To kick things off, Ford Philanthropy and Carhartt have created a joint $25,000 fund that will cover the lending fees for the first wave of community projects, @Ford Philanthropy has donated an F-150 truck so the ToolBank can help with transport equipment, and Carhartt has outfitted the Toolbank’s disaster relief teams with essential gear. Teamwork! We hope Detroit Toolbank will be a huge help to communities across Southeast Michigan.
