A number of our responses are to assist mugglemedics who have found themselves in a bit of bother whilst discharging their duty. Today @josh_paramedic attempted his own swift water rescue.... Leave it to the grown ups!
There's something heartbreakingly sad about this photo of a @LAS_HART team member.
All dressed up for the party but the mean girls got there first.
Stay strong πͺ
We've just been doing some CPD between jobs. Review of the optical muscles. It was more of a request from the occy health dept due to the excessive amount of mugglemedic injuries from excessive eye rolling upon HART arrival.
@HospitalHolby We're setting up casualty clearing tents outside A&E due to the 4 hour turnarounds. It may be time to wake up and smell the Saturday.
@josh_paramedic You don't have ketamine yet? We use it like it's going out of fashion! PT either ends up totally compliant or we get to have a laugh at mugglemedics trying to transport whilst PT is wildly hallucinating. Win/win.
We'll have a chat with clinical directorate for you, snowflake.
Holby HART are sending out hero biscuits to all the @OFFICIALWMAS staff today. Two each for the people who lined the route of their colleague's funeral procession. Keep standing strong in the toughest of times. We raise a glass of protein shake to you all and to her memory.
@NARU_org Medical Advisor - Dr Eddie Tunn - has been covering the subject of clinical challenges that may be faced; at height, in confined spaces, and on unstable terrain; and the ways in which we, as an #NHS and multi-agency team (not just HART) can overcome these.
A very difficult scene. One of the hardest for a HART operative. We undergo weeks of training with @NARU_Education to ensure appropriate blocking out of inane mugglemedic wittering from air-crew to allow full focus on patient care and looking good in social media. https://t.co/a7CkFWPSnq
We've had our incident support vehicle set up for over 24 hours and we still haven't been able to find the REALLY channel. Are @YorkshireAirAmb just on the wind up with this? Does the channel actually exist?
This is EXACTLY how HART paramedics diagnose ECG changes. Google it on laptops and iPhones. We're paid to be heroes! Not geeks! #leaveittothemugglemedics
Other actions to consider to make yourself look busy...
Talking outside on airwaves rather than normal, face to face conversations.
Hourly updates to documentary crew.. "Its really important that we maintain a state of readiness because.... um.... sorry... give me a minute....
We've been on scene at a siege for approaching 24 hours now. The most important thing to remember during incidents like this is to maintain a rotation of staff to walk around pointing at things. This allows us to #maintainrelevance and not look like we are #gettingpaidtodrinktea
Bit worried that @josh_paramedic has had another one of his MANY work place incidents & sustained a head injury. He just compared @wmasrobmoore to a jedi master!
Perhaps Josh sees the jedi as a fantasist cult who just think they're a bit special. In which case, we totally get it
They give their camera operator an airwaves handset, service issue trousers and custom HART hi-vis, yet its all let down by not wearing safety boots. @josh_paramedic wouldn't allow his camera crew to BRAZENLY RISK THEIR LIVES in such a way. I guess BBC have a higher budget π€
