@IndyCouncil@IndyMayorJoe@IndyDPW @ZachAdamson @Kristin4Indy @VoteVop@HbD_IN This is cool but what does this actually do for society? Nothing. Maybe if we had come up with a way to address food insecurity, lack of mental health resources, or other issues that profoundly affect millions. But you want to pat yourselves on the back for No Turns on Red
@FOX59@IndyCouncil come get your your homey. Isn’t this the dude y’all support instead of allowing any Mutual Aid groups to distribute help? You support a rapist.
@1marcythompson So important to understand this is all these people have. If you aren’t fighting for more affordable housing and PSH then you have no business complaining about tents. City councils that “sweep” encampments are only worried about losing votes next election cycle.
@TVM_Comms@annymoliva That’s because if they got to know people experiencing homeless like the service providers do, more people would have to acknowledge that they are ACTUALLY human beings. Then, they would feel guilty about shunning them on the street when most disabilities are invisible.
@LarryJo14414407@IMPDnews Yeah, the police still don’t deserve any thanks in this case. At least no one died this time with their interactions with @IMPDnews
@Steve_Stuck@JamesEBriggs I didn’t say everyone deserves to be bailed out, but everyone deserves a chance to be innocent until proven guilty and our bond laws prevent that due to misinformation.
You forgot to add the most important wrong assumption of all
All cops are good cops. Lol 😂 🔥 🐷 🥓
@1marcythompson Lack of housing and lack of long term service solutions for the high needs of PSH clients are our biggest barriers we, as service providers, have to overcome for our clients.
@Steve_Stuck@JamesEBriggs@RickFOP86 I wish the Bail Project wasn’t needed. Unfortunately, while people like @Steve_Stuck and @RickFOP86@IMPDnews around to lock up minorities and people without power, they will continue he to line their own pockets with money from the “private jails” and other bail bondsman.
@JamesEBriggs I’m not sure @IMPDnews is going to be the extremist Republican enforcer anymore. They appear to have a conflicting opinion from their daddy.
Creating equitable responses to homelessness will require radical change from the top down. We created the inequities that exist—sometimes intentionally and but more often, unintentionally through policies created, tools promoted and utilized, and unwillingness to do hard things.
@IndyCouncil@IndyOPHS Did anyone take into consideration same-sex couples, unwed couples, #lgbtq and unsheltered people with non service animals? These, along with the way Wheeler treats them and not wanting to be sober enough are the main reasons people don’t come inside. #indianapolis
@AlexaGreenMedia And I see the spin doctor on Monument Circle taking photos of a horse retiring. Must be a slow week in minority assaults from @IMPDnews
