Publishing Sigh For A Strange Land by Monica Stirling took such a strange turn, we've done a show about it. Please look out for The Book From Nowhere, coming in the New Year. The tale of a small indie press and a bibliomystery!
"To those people who don't know us, it looks a though we only have one child. But we have two. Eli and Elowen it's just that Elowen is felt in the heart rather than seen with the eyes"
Thank you to @YOUMagSocial for publishing this very moving piece about Elowen by Will.
Walking in Edward Thomas’s footsteps tomorrow when I start The Icknield Way in Thetford. I have a first edition copy of his book. He befriended the locals in Thetford asking directions so that’s how I’ll begin too. I might get horribly lost!
Many thanks to @FurrowedMiddle who helped us trace the family of Monica Stirling. We are now publishing her astonishing forgotten novel 'Sigh For A Strange Land.' A funny, sad, timely novel about refugees - and a real labour of love for us.
Places are still available for what should be a fascinating and memorable event on Saturday July 15th.
See the Fellowship website for more information.
We're now an affiliate for https://t.co/el9SDdtZMg & will be recommending books by smaller publishers. Our 3rd list is up and is a left-field 'celebration' of Indie Crime! Fic & Non-Fic from @WHusseyAuthor to @geoffmanaugh https://t.co/QSCxaXigIF
@john_self@noonakai Amidst many flawed short stories, Thomas produced some absolute gems that I think were hidden by the lesser works. We’ve simply uncovered them and we love them as much as his poetry (and have put them in an A format book!)
