Under the Termination of Pregnancy Act, termination of pregnancy is permitted only when the woman’s life is in danger; there is a serious foetal abnormality; the pregnancy results from rape, incest, or unlawful intercourse with a minor; or it is necessary to preserve the woman’s physical or mental health.

Yet administrative bottlenecks continue to delay lawful care.

Clause 11 does not expand the law. It removes unnecessary red tape so the existing law can function efficiently.
