my most american take is that fahrenheit is actually superior to celsius in a practical, human sense.
like 100 is hot and 0 is cold, that’s so straightforward. if it’s a nice day it’s essentially 65%-70% hot out. like duh it just makes sense
BREAKING: The Two Tennessee state lawmakers, Justin Jones (D-Nashville) and Justin Pearson (D-Memphis), who were expelled from the state legislature earlier this year for their protest of gun violence, have just easily won a special primary election.
- Justin Jones ran unopposed
- Justin Pearson won 94% of the vote.
While the Tennessee GOP thought they were winning, all they did was empower these two men. It is now very likely both win the general election in August.
@LilTravdaGOAT That’s quite the statistic you’re pulling out of your ass. Almost everyone I know that graduated with me in my department is doing pretty successful in their field.
Also, for anyone interested, here’s the link to all the filings in the #hb1020 state court case. I’ll update it regularly. https://t.co/ed36xkjypX

N.C.'s new GOP court is reversing rulings that restricted partisan gerrymandering as they decried the ruling as partisan. Free and fair election requirements being called partisan is a pretty impressive self burn. https://t.co/mgsHJGeb3d
In the end, the people of Tennessee made the ultimate choice of courage and hope. Thank you to the thousands who came to the people’s house today to show the nation that we will not yield to authoritarian attacks on our democracy. Our fight is not over. #notonestepback ✊🏾
Mondays shouldn’t have meetings until at least noon. Who are we kidding that anyone is going to have much productive to say on a Monday morning? Especially after a holiday.
This nation was built on peaceful protest. No elected official should lose their job simply for raising their voice – especially when they’re doing it on behalf of our children.
