He’s making 27 million a year only.
He just turned 27 years old.
He’s on his way to winning a second World Series ring in 2 years in the show.
Yamamoto, greatness.
Shocker, the Dodgers organization made the right decision on who to give the starting job to at the beginning of the season.
It’s almost like they’re insanely competent and know more than us almost always.
Since both guys have 131 PA here’s a comparison on the Dodgers primary 2B so far
Alex Freeland
- 101 WRC+
- 3 HRs 12 RBIs
- .254/.328/.705
- 4 DRS 3 OAA
- 0.7 fWAR
Hyeseong Kim
- 87 WRC+
- 1 HR 11 RBIs
- .259/.323/.651
- -1 DRS -1 OAA
- 0.4 fWAR
Looks like the right call 🤔
Since the beginning of 2025...
Julio Rodriguez: 6.9 fWAR in 222 games
Andy Pages: 6.8 fWAR in 217 Games
This is not a slight to Jrod, this is a compliment to the best CF in the sport right now Andy freaking Pages!
The Hottest Hitting Prospects in Baseball
Josue De Paula headlines the list after posting an audacious 1.449 OPS over the last two weeks, powered by 13 XBH while walking twice as often as he struck out

@Ralph_MasonJr@dmx_biographer I would have loved to see Tibbs get a shot and same with Zyhir, but they’re definitely gonna choose De Paula over Zyhir and Sirota over Tibbs.
Tibbs feels like a Michael Busch situation except he’s younger.
@Studman223 Cause he has top 15 pitcher stuff and has 6 years of team control.
He’s not gonna get the return that a 22 year can get, so you may as well use his prime years while we are in win now mode.
Data and numbers have never been more prevalent in MLB, but for Wrobleski, the model that makes the most sense is the one he created himself. You won’t find the values on Baseball Savant or FanGraphs. This model only exists in Wrobleski’s mind — and that’s why it works.
As we get ready for the Dodgers series & the inevitable Ohtani glazing, feels relevant to point out–
Ohtani is closer to Wheeler in IP than Sánchez, despite Wheeler missing the first month of the year
Wheeler should pass him before the All-Star Break
We’ve already seen a plethora of players from @keithlaw’s preseason top 100 MLB prospect rankings reach or appear in the majors this year, including the top two prospects, five of the top 10, four of the next 10 and 18 from the top 50.
"He tested well. We're gonna get a scan tomorrow. Obviously, it's an IL... Something like that obviously is gonna be a few weeks at the minimum."
Dave Roberts addresses Teoscar Hernández's hamstring injury after the #Dodgers sweep the Rockies, winning 4-1.
I'm told the Tulsa Drillers are planning to suspend their bat dog program after Kendall George's freak injury this week
Dodgers still waiting on a final medical opinion with George, per source, but fear he suffered a patellar injury

We expect greatness and sport breaking level type stuff from Shohei at this point.
What’s even more insane is Andy Pages being on pace for a 10 WAR season… that’s real insanity!
Shohei Ohtani is the 1st player in baseball to reach 4.0 bWAR and is now on pace for 11.8 bWAR
The only seasons since integration higher than that: 2001 Barry Bonds (11.9) and 1967 Carl Yastrzemski (12.5)
