@abstractalex@sleitnick@inceptiontime If you must, I advise doing both: post a forum thread first (for tracking/routing) and then go ahead and boost the link to it on your socials if you feel that gets you any sort of engagement that is missing otherwise. The forum part is really important so we can track/measure.
@abstractalex@sleitnick@inceptiontime For more high-level requests that 1 engineer cannot solve on their own (e.g. not bugs), it may be different atm. But for these issues that 1 person should be able to address, devforum gives you better and more thorough routing. Fewer human hops and actual ownership is better.
@sleitnick@abstractalex@inceptiontime I understand but it's a misconception because of the nature of engagement on this platform. It takes us much more energy to go out of our way and carry things over from Twitter. DevForum is preferred. We're looking into improving the "feeling of things happening" on the forum.
@abstractalex@inceptiontime@sleitnick Please do use the forum because when you post there, the internal team who works on documentation are notified to that (they get a notification and a task assigned to them when a thread is created in the docs category).
@abstractalex@inceptiontime@sleitnick Hey Alex the loop is much shorter when you post on the forum vs posting on Twitter. We don't have people monitoring Twitter as an official feedback channel so you're dependent on an employee seeing your message and investing the energy to take it to a work channel.
@SwiftyEth@peraldon@BoatbomberRBLX Anyone who is Member+ on the forum can get their bug report posted, please visit: https://t.co/OfxkuTeITz
In this case, boatbomber is Regular hence giving the advice above!
@peraldon@BoatbomberRBLX@BoatbomberRBLX Cannot understate this: please post bugs/requests to the forum! We would have seen your issue there and responded right away. We don't have real-time visibility on Twitter. You would have gotten you a first response in ~10 minutes instead of 2 hours later.
@ScriptOff41968 Hey @ScriptOff41968 thanks for the feedback, would you mind posting a summary of the overall problem you're trying to solve on Engine Features category on the DevForum? We'll get someone to look at this and provide advice and/or adjust the docs.
