@UnionPhan@nascarman_rr Absolutely not. It was just an oversight leaving it off the list in my quick response. I would say it would be 2nd or even 1st for most drivers. Especially since the Daytona 500 seems to be a race of luck now a days with the current package.
If you go by modern era he is:
• 1st in wins
• 1st in poles
• 1st in top 5s
• 1st in top 10s
• 1st in Crown Jewel wins
• 2nd in laps led (Earnhardt)
His legacy gets penalized too much for losing titles he should’ve won, but I’ll put his resume up against anyone.
Disagree. He's definitely a first ballot HOF'er, but I think it should be next year. Waive the waiting period, vote him in next year. Add a third entry next year if you want to make sure everyone gets their day, but it gives us a reason to celebrate him all over again next season.
First thing #NASCAR needs to do to get the fans back on board:
Lower admission prices. Why are tickets $135 if the stands will only be half full?
My local NBA team has tickets for $12 some nights. Fill the stands first, then raise the prices.
The Gen 8 NASCAR needs to be based entirely on the Gen 4. A modernized version of it.
It is inarguable that the Gen 4 put on the best racing in NASCAR history. Just facts.
Add all modern safety enhancements & equipment to make them safe, then have the manufacturers build brand new 900 HP engines.
I just fixed the cup series in a single tweet.
NASCAR needs to increase horsepower from 670 to 750 at all 1.5-mile tracks and use a tire that has good falloff.
That was an amazing Stage 1 for the NextGen car. There are really no excuses to keep it at 670 HP.
Long run, tire strategy, pure racing!
