If you have a 57% approval from your own party, then you still win primaries. Now cut that number in half for the general elections. The math doesn’t work. The only chance for Republicans to avoid losing the house and senate is a quick resolution to the war with unconditional opening of the Strait and getting the uranium out of Iran. That is looking less likely by the day, but we’ll see.

Big taste test today with the “newly released and reformulated Mr. Pibb vs. PibbXtra. The new Mr. Pibb gets high marks for its cleaner taste, but I still have to say the PibbXtra w/ the hint of cinnamon is still the gold standard. Either way, I’m still Pibb strong!

The team did a good job controlling their emotions in a crazy atmosphere and played well in all three phases to beat a good team.

As to your specific comment about the batting order…yes, I’m still wondering why our best run producer is in the leadoff spot. At a minimum, 1 out of every 4 AB’s wil come with nobody on-base.

Not upset A&M lost a mid-week game to Texas St. I’m frustrated how they lost…on a pop-up w/ 2 outs that the 1st baseman could have easily perched under the ball for a routine 3rd out, but lazily tried an over the shoulder blind basket catch that he missed. Led to 2 runs.

Giving Bucky a modest extension to market rate is a smart move. Giving a young hitting coach w/no experience the keys to a top SEC program was a poor decision. No AD should be given the benefit of the doubt on hires…judge results based on context and merit.
