Dexter Barry had a heart transplant after waiting 12 years, now Barry is dead because everyone in the chain of custody in the system let this man die.

I posted about Dexter a last week, some new information has come out and it's worth an update.

Dexter shouldn't have been in jail in the first place. He and his neighbor who shared a wifi service had an argument over the bill. The fight was never physical, they had some words and Berry walked away to cool off.

When the officer decided to arrest him Barry told the cop multiple times how much he needed to bring his medication, but the cop didn't care.

During his jail intake, the nurse even made a note of the severity of his condition "Urgent Referal" she wrote about the medication. nobody cared.

When Barry went in front of the judge for his bond hearing, he again told the judge how urgent his condition was. The judge set his bond at $503 and said "Hopefully you are able to make bond here and get your medication,"

When he finally got out after missing his medication for 2 day his son could tell he didn't sound right. on the 23rd they contacted the hospital to see if he should take extra to make up for the missed doses, and was told it would be to dangerous. Unfortunatly the damage was already done, later that day his body rejected his transplant.

Every single person who separated this man from his medication is responsible for his death. Every person of "Authority" that failed to take the time to do the right thing failed this man.

@SpartanHoops_DK @verbosedutch @OdellBretthamJr MSU had 56k last year when it was 23° and horrible wind after a not great season. I’d take that any day over ford field. If people stay in D, a lot will deal with U of M/OSU traffic the next day, on top of thanksgiving.

I hope capacity is hit for the players/teams sake 🤷🏼‍♀️

@SpartanHoops_DK @verbosedutch @OdellBretthamJr It doesn’t matter where alum are located if they don’t show up. The last MSU football game at ford field had 36k attendees, the last home penn state game had over 66k despite being 28° and snowy. That’s more than Ford Field’s capacity.

The people that I know from the Midwest who like bland food are like my Polish mother in law who almost never gets takeout, and eats 95% the recipes her mother taught her (who came here from Poland during WWII)
