@MJColeman_3394 @madcap412 Missed this reply, Yeah I don't have a explanation for that but if it hit it's new highest peak in Dec 2025, that goes to show the growing popularity of that game lol. A lot of games only hit new peaks after a major update drops, which StS hasn't had a content update in years

@MJColeman_3394 @madcap412 I can only speak to my own experience of playing StS1 on switch before I migrated to the steam version many years later. And again, I think the positive praise from reviewers/influencers over the years for StS1 is worth mentioning as a contributing factor

@MJColeman_3394 @madcap412 Sure its a steep jump, however (correct me if I'm wrong) if steam chart only shows active player counts and not lifetime totals, whose to say steam users didn't eventually play the first game after it's initial wave of peak active players? StS1 was on sale a lot over the years

@MJColeman_3394 @madcap412 My guess is people played the first StS game on other platforms. I played StS1 for the first time when it was ported to Nintendo Switch, for example. Also gotta factor in positive word of mouth & YouTubers/Streamers praising the first game over the years
