I’ve read numerous tweets by cops telling women to report what happens to them. They’ve been honest & said even if we can’t do anything your rpts help us with intel etc.

In other words, the message is “trust us to do right by you”.

In my psychiatry training a very experienced mental health nurse told me that psychiatry involved looking after "the mad, the bad and the sad". In my subsequent career (1/2)
