PhD candidate @WesternU, studying biomechanics and locomotion. @Sheffhallamuni MSc Sports Engineering alumnus. Arsenal fan 🔴 and Caffeine enthusiast ⚡️.
I had an incredible time teaching MATLAB and Python with Ramtin Babaeipour at our programming workshop in the biology department!
A huge thank you to everyone who attended! Looking forward to seeing how you apply coding in your research! 🚀

Thrilled to announce our upcoming workshop at Western University, organized in collaboration with my talented friend and colleague, Ramtin Babaeipour.
It's going to be an incredible opportunity to connect, learn, and grow!
Our findings suggest that inertial sensors are viable alternatives to motion capture for reconstructing running kinematics and movement patterns. We also highlight the usefulness of inertial sensors for developing individual-specific or cluster-specific practice programs.
In the second stage of the study, we analyzed running kinematics of a wide range of runners obtained from their sacral IMUs, and clustered them based on their movement patterns.
I am delighted to announce that I have successfully defended my PhD proposal!
I'm studying the potential "use" of posture for information processing ('embodied cognition') in female black widow spiders, by 3D tracking of the spider's locomotion.

Some interesting results from the joint angles of the first and fourth right legs of a spider walking across its web. The trial was divided into strides and each line color is representing joint angles across one stride.
