I don’t understand, by their logic, why 3 of them don’t take shields. If everyone keeps their mouth shut from that group, they have better odds. And let’s be real, adding money to a pot which you may not get if you don’t maximise your chances is irrelevant.

I don’t understand why Sam and the rest of the group is so angry that James took a shield sneakily. Surely, assuming James doesn’t tell the others he has a shield then the traitors have a 3 in 5 chance of guessing someone who doesn’t has a shield instead of 4 in 5?
