@F3_Haskell @JStein_WaPo Those are some really impressive mental gymnastics. The layoffs had nothing to do with eliminating "fraudulent employees", which is isn't a thing btw.
@F3_Haskell @JStein_WaPo They have literally had to rehire people that were fired because there was no consideration put into the mass layoffs. They've shown that they have no idea what they are doing. It is beyond me how you still think this is being done with careful analysis.
@F3_Haskell @JStein_WaPo Dude, I'm telling you first hand as someone in the midst of this mess, they did not communicate with us before deciding they would close one of our offices. What Grok says is irrelevent.
@CurlzzMO@loladoee@EBK_Koff There are different kinds of bullfighting. Sometimes the goal is just to subdue the bull without killing it. Sadly this is not that kind.
@CODMANPRIME @No2304664766951@DebbiesTowers19@wyababee@EBK_Koff Although there are varieties of bullfighting where the goal is to subdue the bull rather than kill it, this is not that kind of bullfighting. The sword between its shoulders was intended to be lethal.
@F3_Haskell @JStein_WaPo They did not talk to our center first. There was no discussion about where our people would relocate to or how that would affect field operations.
@ronrule @JStein_WaPo There hasn't been any decision made on who is getting fired yet, my agency is still working on the RIF plan, yet the lease for one of our offices is supposedly being terminated. There was no consideration for why we have an office in that location or where the employees would go.
@PGard0191 Republicans have consistently opposed any measures to socialize health care, including mental health care, and blue states rank higher in accessibility to mental health care than red states do.
@PGard0191 Because of Obamacare I was able to stay on my parents insurance after turning 18, which payed for my psychiatric care. I don't see how it could have led to mental health facilities being closed, but I don't claim that Obamacare is perfect.
@PGard0191@RepClayHiggins Because I was offered severance, as were my coworkers who were fired, and I turned it down when I was uncertain if I'd get to keep my job or not. I'm just giving perspective on why people would turn it down.
@PGard0191@RepClayHiggins So far I still have my job, didn't mean to make it sound like I was fired. I don't want to divulge a lot of information but I don't work in DC. I could work for an environmental consulting company, but the kind of work I do would still have to be funded by government.
@Hiknefer@Mama_Haase@RepClayHiggins My coworkers and I care a lot about our mission. In the last several weeks we have been called entitled parasites, accused of having second full time jobs, and told that we don't contribute to society. But sure, we are the disrespectful ones.
@leonard_per@RepClayHiggins They didn't fire poor performers and unnecessary positions. They just did sweeping layoffs of anyone still in their probationary period without any evaluation.
@PGard0191@RepClayHiggins I don't want severance, I want to keep serving my country by doing the science that watershed managers rely on to keep our waters clean.
@DanCham03014042@RobertJenkin6@amuse What are you talking about? No one had any input at my center. 16 of our people were fired just because they were probationary. They didn't have bad performance reviews.
