Hoxsie among Nazis on Twitter: Not.
As this site collapses in on itself, it's likely I'll collapse my posts into a single Mastodon account, which is:
@[email protected]
I'll be posting Albany/Schenectady/Troy #history as well as quotidian matters under that moniker for now.
Since it is by no means certain that Twitter is going to continue, or that I'll continue to be on it, here's my Mastodon ID, where I will continue to post Hoxsie updates: @[email protected]
I probably won't have a separate account for Hoxsie, for now.
The Albany bicentennial marker put up at historic Crailo, across the Hudson River, was wrong in most of its particulars – although it *does* appear that "Yankee Doodle" was written there. The marker has long since disappeared, as Crailo nearly did:

New post coming tomorrow! We'll talk about Crailo, which was nearly lost a century ago.
Also, anyone complaining about Rensselaer pavement might wanna have a look at Riverside Avenue below.
#tdih 1837, minister, journalist, newspaper editor, & abolitionist Elijah Parish Lovejoy was murdered by a pro-slavery mob in Alton, Ill. during their attack on his warehouse to destroy his printing press. #Terrorism against journalists #TeachTruth Read ⬇️

Just an update – if you were on my email list to be notified of new posts, well, you *weren't* being notified. I believe that is now corrected. Technology is great.
Finally, another Albany Bicentennial marker – but once again, one that has long since disappeared – denoting
the original Van Rensselaer manor house, its successor, and the business office of the Patroon – all now gone and unmarked. #albany#localhistory

@albanymuskrat Haven't been in a hospital recently but some outpatient procedures, staff were incredibly careful and cautious – taking precautions seriously. Best of luck.
Another Albany Bicentennial marker, another missing one. Tablet No. 24, "City Gate where News of Burning of Schenectady was Received." (Pictured: a completely different marker from Schenectady commemorating the ride of Symon Schermerhoorn)
