As a small agency owner I got tired of the enterprise subscription model. Contractors don't need bloated plans, so I'm bringing accessible eSignatures for them.
My name is Kristian Hristov.
I am a software engineer, and I've spent years building tech solutions - from mobile apps to complex POS systems.
I'm an engineer, a problem solver, a developer, and someone who values precision and clarity over bloat and chasing a quick buck.
@TranscendntCode Communication is one of the most important skills in life as a whole. Poor communication leads to conflicts. Good communication leads to outcomes.
This is real. I once got hired to fix a backlog of bugs for a product. I had struggled for months to get a client, so I took the job.
Long story short, the product was a spaghetti bundle of libraries and dirty patches all over the place.
I fixed almost all of the bugs. There were some left that required a severe structural rework. And that’s exactly what I proposed to them.
At the time they were a small team of about 15-20 people. Most were in visual assets production, a few in sales and a couple of backend engineers and the CTO who was all over the place.
They accepted and I spent the next 6 months rebuilding their product from scratch while actively maintaining the current version and attending customer bug reports.
The results were so good that we went 5 or 6 bug reports per week to 2 or 3 per year.
This is one of my proudest projects because from a simple backlog cleanup it turned into a 9 year collaboration, until they grew and got acquired and the new company took over.
Found a free place to advertise SealItDone: a public wall of posters from builders.
$2.99 legally binding e-signatures. No subscriptions, no prepaid packages, no self-hosted overhead.

Build in Public Day 7
I failed yesterday's goals.
I'm not going to make excuses, because that's not how I operate.
I was supposed to create 2 new profiles on listings sites for SealitDone, but I got distracted with other tasks (some irrelevant) and I just didn't get to it.
Getting on it today.
@oldstackjournal Non-technical people, be very cautious when a contractor or a vendor offers you complex things. Remember what Lars said because I see this every day.
Often you just need something cheap and simple, but the "experts" are pushing for complex AI stuff.
Get a second opinion.
@Ionkosm Heck, even Claude got it wrong the other day on one of my projects.
It'd used `position:fixed`, for something that didn't even require position setting and was supposed to be `display:flex` and `flex-grow` 1 or 0 in the correct places.
@Ionkosm Basics without AI first.
One of the things I learned back in the day was CSS positioning. No amount of theory could teach me what a JSFiddle did for me.
Now I can envision a case just by listening to the description, and 70% of the time developers got it wrong.
@asaio87 Just like with code. Technically you can build something without knowing anything about software engineering, but it won’t be production ready and it’ll be full of bugs and uncovered use cases.
You need an expert to guide the AI results.
@alex_ryan7 Marketing 100%. You can have a plan for coding, you follow it and you get a result.
With marketing it’s a bet on 0. You have a plan, you execute and nothing works and you don’t know why. And one day something works and you have no idea what it was.
@HristovDevelop Yup, most companies have a brilliant engineering team, but they are focused on producing things to sell.
The internal tools often get neglected or put aside until there’s time to address them.
Well guess what!
There’s never time to get to them.
This is super helpful insight Charlotte! We all knew ads were coming into AI results, but I would have thought they would get the same treatment as in search results.
But you have a great point. People don't want the highest bidder, they want the AI to do the research for them and recommend the best fit.
@jessievbreugel LinkedIn has become boring as hell. People there used to read other people's things and sometimes interact, but now with all the AI slop, I don't know...
